Quiet simplicity, locally sourced art, and a restful garden aspect.
The Aynsome Room takes its name from Aynsome Manor — a small English country house long admired for its understated grace. Here at Cotswold Cottage, the same philosophy applies: everything you need, thoughtfully provided, and nothing that distracts from the simple pleasure of being somewhere beautiful.
Situated on the ground level of the cottage, the Aynsome Room offers a queen-sized bed (configurable to twin singles on request) dressed in crisp white linen with accent cushions in the cottage's signature sage tones. A large window opens toward the landscaped garden, where birdsong and the rustling of native plantings provide the morning soundtrack.
The walls carry a rotating selection of works by local Coromandel artists — each piece chosen for the sense of place it brings to the room. Warm timber accents, a reading chair by the window, and soft lighting make this a room that rewards those who like to slow down.
The private en-suite shower room is modern and well-appointed, with a rainfall shower, quality fittings, premium toiletries, and a heated towel rail. Breakfast is served each morning from 7:30 am in the main dining room. Tea and coffee are available from the in-room station at any hour.
